Tuesday’s Musings: When It Is What It Is USED

Proverbs 3:5-6  Trust in the Lord with all your heart  and lean not on your own understanding;  in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Pat Summitt is the winningest basketball coach ever, taking her Lady Vols to eight national championships. Sadly she was diagnosed with early dementia of the Alzheimer’s type and chose to resign from her coaching position.  In a touching interview with Robin Roberts, Robin asked her if she ever asks, why.  Pat replied she didn’t think much about that.  She said it is what it is and you just accept that and live the best you can.  Sometimes it’s good to ask why something is happening.  It could be due to things we can change.  Other times, we are faced with just accepting the situation. In either case, we who have Jesus Christ as our savior also have Him from whom to draw strength and direction through the Holy Spirit.
Holy Lord, help us to look at our life through your eyes.  Where we are challenged with difficult situations, help us to discover ways to make the best of things.  When one door closes, we ask that you guide us to a new door and give us strength to face each new day as one loved by you.  We ask in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Have a Blessed Day!
Paige
