Romans 12:10 (CEB) Love each other like the members of your
family. Be the best at showing honor to each other.
We are so very fortunate to have “Aunt” Noreen Conort who
enjoys house and dog sitting for us when we travel out of town. She loves Daisy, Dandy and Dino and they love
her. We know they are in the best of
care and can be in their own home and not a boarding facility. Daisy cries if
we take her to one of those. When we
returned from Columbus on Sunday afternoon the three dogs jumped and barked and
wagged their tails to welcome us home. I’ve
noticed that since then Dino has been needier of companionship than usual. He has followed me downstairs to the computer
and has wanted to sit right beside me in the chair in the mornings while I
drink my coffee. There are times in our
lives when we are needier of someone’s affection or friendship. There is nothing wrong with that. Scripture supports friendships. Have a friend; be a friend.
Thank you, Lord for our friends and our animal friends, too.
Amen.
God Bless,
Paige
