Proverbs 11:14 Where there is no guidance, a people falls,
but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.
I spoke with an acquaintance this week who’s had more than
his share of sickness and grief. He and
his wife both struggle with serious health issues and financial
constraints. There has also been illness
and death in their families. One of the
brighter spots comes by the support of their close friends. Someone wrote, “A
friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you
when you have forgotten the words.” I hope that we all can have that type of
friend. Share your songs and dreams with them. Counsel them when they need help
with decisions and most of all let them know God loves them and so do you.
Holy Lord, thank you for those who minister to us during our
darkest hours. Help us to be that type of friends for others and to live after
the example of your Son Jesus Christ in whose name we pray. Amen.
Happy
Day!Paige
